THORNTOWN — Two Crawfordsville residents were seriously injured Saturday in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of State Road 75 and State Road 47 in Thorntown.
According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, the collision at 11:34 a.m. involved a 2014 white Honda CR-V driven by Derek Crews, 43, of West Lafayette and a 2011 gray Ford F-150 driven by Brian Bell, 44, of Crawfordsville. Donita Bell, 43, of Crawfordsville was a passenger in the Ford F-150.
All three people involved sustained serious bodily injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Due to the nature of the injuries and circumstance surrounding the crash, the Fatal Alcohol Crash Team was contacted to assist with the investigation. The incident remains under investigation.
Assisting agencies include Thorntown Police and Fire departments, Witham medics, and Advance Fire Department.
