This week’s speaker was club president Roger Azar. He covered the upcoming events, club business and announced the Rotary four-year scholarship winners from all three high schools. Winners from North Montgomery are Nina Gable and Grace McClasky; from Southmont, Addison Charles; and from Crawfordsville, Kylie Miller.
Upcoming fundraisers to help support the scholarship program and the other local groups, such as Youth Service Bureau and Boys & Girls Club, are July 9, Aug. 13 and Sept. 10 for the Pike Place Concert Series, with free live bands and with food and beverage for purchase.
Also, July 17 is the bi-annual Wine to Water Gala supporting the Haiti initiative and supporting local programs listed above. See a Rotary member for tickets.
Last, but not least, is the annual golf outing July 31. Teams and sponsors are needed. Call Chuck Dixon at 567-674-9805. Don’t wait as teams spaces are starting fill up fast.
Azar also encourages all members and guests to come to our weekly meeting at noon Wednesdays at the Crawfordsville Country Club for lunch, conversation with friends and a speaker.
