The Crawfordsville Rotary held a special event for Rotarian of the Year Jennifer Stanfield. Rotary is known doing all kinds of outreach, in the community, Indiana and the world. The award is based on how hard a person works within their local club and their involvement with the state and worldly events. Stanfield is a past president of the local club in 2017 to 2018. She also has been elected to serve as the state of Indiana’s District Governor in 2022-23. This is a great honor for she her family and the local club.
The up and coming fundraisers to help support the Rotary Scholarship program and the other local groups such as Youth Service Bureau and Boys & Girls Club and others are as follows:
• July 9, Aug. 13 and Sept. 10 at Pike Place for the Concert Series in the Park, with free live bands and with food and beverage for purchase.
• July 17 is the bi-annual Wine to Water Gala supporting the Haiti initiative and supporting local programs listed above. See a Rotary member for ticket or call Ron Hess at 765-401-1165.
• July 31 for the annual golf outing. Teams and sponsors are still needed. Call Chuck Dixon at 567-674-9805.
All members and guests are welcome to attend the weekly meeting at noon each Wednesday at the Crawfordsville Country Club for lunch, conversation with friends and a speaker.
