The speaker this week for Rotary was Cindy Biddle. She represents Relay For Life, an organization that provides help to those with cancer in Montgomery County. Some of their services provided are transportation to doctor’s offices and other places as needed. They have a fundraising goal of $15,000 this year. Their big fundraiser will be noon to 9 p.m. July 17 at the Crawfordsville Armory. All funds raised stay in the county.
Rotary Club Treasurer Rod Curran presented Biddle with a $1,000 to help support the Relay For Life and its financial goal. Call 800-227-2345 if you want to give or help.
Upcoming club fundraisers to help support the scholarship program and other local groups, such as Youth Service Bureau and Boys & Girls Club, are as follows:
• July 9, Aug. 13 and Sept. 10 for the Pike Place Concert Series. Free live bands with food and beverage for purchase.
• July 17 is the bi-annual Wine to Water Gala, which supports the Haiti initiative and other local programs. See a Rotary member for ticket or call Ron Hess 765-401-1165

All members and guests are encouraged to attend the meetings at noon Wednesdays at the Crawfordsville Country Club for lunch, conversation and a speaker.
