Aimee Zachary of the Distinguished Young Women program accepts a $1,000 grant from Crawfordsville Rotary Club President Charlie Cochrane. Distinguished Young Women is a program for high school students that combines the chance to win college scholarships with a life skills training program.

Southmont Interact Club President Aidan Portwood accepts a $1,000 check from the Crawfordsville Rotary Club. Interact is the youth arm of Rotary, and student members raise money to provide a Christmas party for a school in Haiti. The grant will also allow the group to plan a spring activity. The group has also worked with the Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau to promote child abuse prevention.
