Posted

A Crawfordsville woman was arrested on drug charges after crashing a vehicle into a home Thursday.

Indiana State Police and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded at just after 1:30 p.m. Thursday to a crash on U.S. 136 just west of C.R. 300S.

A preliminary investigation by ISP revealed a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Naomi Wolf, 35, of Crawfordsville was traveling westbound on U.S. 136 just west of C.R. 300S, and for an unknown reason, the Silverado ran off the north side of the road, overcorrected and went back across US 136. The Silverado then went off the south side of the road, through a field and came to stop after hitting a house.

Wolf was transported by EMS to a Crawfordsville area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The house was empty at the time of the crash.

Upon being released from the hospital, Wolf was transported to Tippecanoe County Jail, where she had active warrants for her arrest. She faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony, and conversion, a class A, misdemeanor.

This crash is still under investigation, and there is no further information to release at this time. It is believed that impairment is a contributing factor to the crash, however, troopers are awaiting toxicology results. Once the investigation is complete, it will be turned over to the Montgomery County Prosecutor for review and determination of charges, if any, to be filed.

Walnut Township Volunteer Fire Department and Crawfordsville EMS assisted at the scene.
