Dallas Wayne Switzer Sr., 74, of Crawfordsville, passed away May 12, 2024, at his home, due to a heart attack.
He was born Jan. 26, 1950, at Crawfordsville, to Mary Leonard Switzer and James Switzer.
Dallas was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School and later worked as a mechanical engineer for many years at both Mid-States Steel & Wire and B&L Engineering.
He is survived by daughter Sonja (Robert) Bratcher of Crawfordsville; son Dallas Jr. (Jennifer) Switzer of Lafayette; sisters, Donna (Fred) Miles of South Daytona, Florida, and Karen West of Crawfordsville; and brother James Switzer of San Bernadino, California. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Dallas was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law Dave West; and his beloved dog, Bear.
Known for his private nature, Dallas’s life will be commemorated privately, in accordance with his reserved and solitary nature.
Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
