Delores Alene (Junkert) Sunderman, 89, of Kingman went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024.
She was born Aug. 5, 1934, at Mahomet, Illinois, to the late Henry Joseph and Mildred D. (George) Junkert.
Delores graduated from Unity High School in Illinois and on June 1, 1952, she married the love of her life, Dean Alan Sunderman, who preceded her in death June 16, 2016.
Delores was a loving mother and homemaker and was the librarian at the Kingman Public Library for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Kingman United Methodist Church, Home Ec Club and the Bunco Club. She loved reading biographies, history and true-crime books and working in her flower garden.
She is survived by her two sons, Eric (Gina) Sunderman and Geoff (Tina) Sunderman, both of Kingman; daughter Stephanie (Ed) Leatherman of Montezuma; six grandchildren, T.J (Melissa) Smith, Shannon Smith, Kyle Sunderman, Shelby (Matt) Jahnke, Riley (Jessica) Sunderman and Lauren (Nolan) Flinn; five great-grandchildren, Hayley, Ryder, Ada, Sutton and Kaia; and sister Barbara Fruhling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dean; and brother Alan Junkert.
Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S. First St., Kingman, on Saturday, Jan. 27 from noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Steve Crum officiating. Burial will follow at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
