Denver Dale Carter, 64, of Crawfordsville passed away Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024, at Franciscan Health Indianapolis.
He was born March 17, 1959, at Batesville, to Ray Thomas and Vivien Leigh (Bostic) Carter.
After graduating from Greensburg High School, Denver embarked on a career as a laborer in the lumber industry. He worked for B & D Lumber Company and Fleetwood. On Feb. 27, 2018, Denver married the love of his life, Marianne Rankin, in Crawfordsville.
He was a passionate fan of IU Basketball, Indianapolis Colts and NASCAR. Denver was a member of the Crawfordsville Eagles and the Sons of the American Legion.
Denver will be deeply missed by his wife, Marianne; beloved cat, Devo; sister Debbie (Jerry) Borgman; brother Dwayne Carter; nieces, Nickie (Brian) Mahon and Lorie Jordan; three great-nephews; and one great-niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Ross Jordan.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, on Wednesday, Feb. 14 from noon until 2 p.m.
