Dierdre Fawn Deck, 59, of Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at Franciscan Health Lafayette.
She was born April 26, 1961, at Los Angeles, California, to the late Frank Plew and Gloria Jean (Bagby) Coleman.
Dierdre graduated from Bloomington High School in 1979. She graduated from Ivy Tech with a degree in accounting. She married Joseph Wayne Deck on July 28, 2011, at Crawfordsville. Dierdre loved spending time with people, especially her family. Many would describe her as creative and compassionate individual. She was in the process of writing her own book. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, hiking, visiting caves, golfing and keeping things clean.
Dierdre is survived by her husband, Joseph; daughter Jessica Ferrante; son Christopher Wheatley; four step-children, Joveya Crisantos-Toves, Taci Toves, Veala Rosenfield and Shaina Taylor; step-father Melvin Coleman; two sisters, Romana Lisa Kirk and Clorana Coleman; three brothers, Richard Plew, Kenneth Coleman and Jeremy Coleman; 18 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Dierdre was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 9 at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville. The celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery.
