Posted

This year’s theme for Dusk to Dawn’s annual extravaganza is “Hat’s off to 10 Years.”

The 10th annual Harvest Fest will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 4 at Christ Lutheran Church, 300 W. South Blvd. (across from Pizza Hut).

The first 2o guests will receive a free hat. All attendees will have a chance to win gift certificates from Little Mexico at 10 after each hour, beginning at 9:10 a.m.

The silent raffle is back. Do you need a Kate Spade bag or tickets to an Indians game? Maybe you’d like to have a chance at a tour of the Old 55 Distillery? Those in attendance will find that as well as handcrafted items from Dusk to Dawn supporters. Raffle tickets are $1 each and with a purchase of $50 in tickets you will get 10 free tickets.

Vendors will be in full force, offering every manner of handmade item from pottery to jewelry to baskets and more. A special treat for the celebration will be the Smokin’ Melts and Rollin’ Dough food truck.

Fundraising for Dusk to Dawn Bereavement Services occurs from donations and proceeds from this annual event.

Little Mexico also will offer Dine for a Cause from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 6. A portion of every sale will be donated to Dusk 2 Dawn.

The National Center on Charitable Statistics says that 30% of nonprofits fail to exist after 10 years. Dusk to Dawn Bereavement Services has persevered and thanks to community support is still growing into 2024.

Dusk to Dawn offers counseling to adults and children experiencing grief. Testimonies from clients include, “they helped me navigate a dark time in my life” and “without their support in my grief journey I am not sure I could have survived.”
