Abigail Eutsler of Linden was named to the spring semester Dean’s List in the Butler University Jordan College of the Arts. The list recognizes students whose grade point average is in the top 20% of all eligible students in their college of enrollment. She is entering her fourth year of a five-year Bachelor of Music dual major in vocal performance and choral music education in the School of Music and is a student in the Honors Program, which engages students in interdisciplinary academics.
For the second time, Eutsler has received the Woman’s Department Club of Indianapolis Music Merit Award scholarship, which honors the memory of the club’s founder, Luella McWhirter, for students in the Jordan College of the Arts. She also received the Sigma Alpha Iota Alumni Scholarship. SAI is an international music fraternity formed to uphold the highest standards of music and to further the development of music in America and throughout the world.
Eutsler served as the 2023-24 president of the Sigma Alpha Iota Zeta Chapter. She is a member of the Butler University President’s Club and the Jordan College of the Arts Dean’s Council. She is a teaching artist at the Butler Community Arts School and is an intern at the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra.
A member of the Chamber Singers, a select chamber choir specializing in a cappella repertoire, Eutsler is also a member of the Butler Chorale, a premiere choral organization comprised of graduate and undergraduate students. She performed throughout Brazil, South America, in May on a tour with the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir and the Butler Chorale.
Eutsler is a past recipient of the Efroymson Prize, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Abbott Scholarship, and is a three-time Indiana Scholar of the Indiana Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons.
