Eutsler named to Purdue University board

Dr. Mark Eutsler of Linden was recently named to a three-year term on the newly formed Purdue University College of Education’s Education Engagement Board, coordinated by the Purdue for Life Foundation, a part of the Purdue Research Foundation.

The board’s purpose is to support the efforts of Purdue College of Education, facilitate communication between the school and its alumni, provide programs for professional growth, and enhance alumni relationships with the University, Purdue for Life Foundation, and the Purdue Alumni Association.

Eutsler has presented at the College of Education’s Celebrating Literacy Conference and as a guest lecturer in literacy methods courses. He was initiated in Purdue’s chapter of Alpha Upsilon Alpha, the International Literacy Association honor society. He is a life member of the Purdue Alumni Association, recipient of the Purdue Bands and Orchestras Block P Award, and will be initiated into the Tau Beta Sigma honorary band sorority Beta Sigma chapter this spring.

Additionally, Eutsler chaired the Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana Business Administration Advisory Committee 1999-2011, was a member of the Indiana State University President’s National Advisory Board 2009-2022, and was a member of the ISU Bailey College of Engineering and Technology Executive Advisory Board 2014-2020. In 2021, he was named a Transformative Leadership in Disruptive Times Executive Program Advisory Board member at the University of California, Riverside Extension.

Eutsler earned a Master of Science in Education specializing in Administration and Curriculum in 1984 and completed an additional 30 postgraduate credit hours. He is also a mentor in PFLF’s Purdue Alumni Student Experience.
