Dusk to Dawn and Athens Art Gallery are excited to announce a unique and hands-on exploration of the therapeutic benefits of art with acclaimed artist Ellie Dickmeyer.
Join them for an evening of creativity and healing as Dickmeyer guides participants through the creation of resin keepsake, a project designed to capture and preserve cherished memories.
The event will be at 6 p.m. Jan. 9, 2024, at Athens Art Gallery.
Dickmeyer is known for her innovative and inspiring works. She will lead attendees in crafting their own resin keepsake using an 8 x 10 picture frame. Participants will have the opportunity to place personal keepsakes within and on the frame, creating a unique and deeply meaningful piece of art.
The project will be sealed with resin, not only to enhance the aesthetic appeal but also to preserve the sentimental value of the keepsakes, making them a lasting treasure. This hands-on experience promises to be a therapeutic journey, allowing participants to tap into the healing power of artistic expression.
