‘Tis the season for giving, and thanks to the support of customers and farmer-directors, regional cooperative Ceres Solutions has been able to make significant donations in the last few weeks totaling more than $25,000 within the communities it serves.
For decades, Ceres Solutions has championed the core causes of 4-H youth, FFA, scholarships and soil and water conservation. The company makes financial contributions and donations in kind to benefit those causes throughout the year.
As 2022 draws to a close, the farmer-directors who are elected to the Ceres Solutions Board sourced several new local programs especially in need of a blessing this year. Those programs include (but are not limited to) United Ministries Fulton County, Macy Community Food Pantry, Fellowship Food Pantry, Through the Gate Women’s Ministry, Montgomery and Wabash County FISH, Meals on Wheels, Third Phase of Noblesville, My Place of Grace Women’s Ministry, the elementary school Brown Bagger lunch program in Shelborn and St. Mary’s Community Pantry, Christian Reformed Church Food Pantry, Good Samaritan Food Pantry, Brook United Methodist Food Pantry, the Saint Vincent DePaul Food Pantry and the Benton Community Food Pantry of Oxford, among several others. In Michigan, donations included TrueNorth Community Ministry, Friends Farm, and the McBain Area Backpack Program. In all, 19 charities were selected and awarded funds thanks to the Ceres farmer-directors.
