A life-long resident of Montgomery County, Downey has consistently demonstrated his dedication to the community. He and his wife, Thoma, have been married for 25 years and have three children, Jarett, Clayton and Gavin. John earned his bachelor’s degree from Wabash College in 1989 and later pursued an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan in 1999.
His journey in real estate began in 2006 when he started working as an appraiser in Montgomery, Tippecanoe, Fountain and Warren counties. In 2016, he joined F.C. Tucker, specializing in residential listings and sales in West Central Indiana. His commitment to excellence and unwavering work ethic have been evident throughout his career.
In 2023, Downey achieved an impressive milestone, closing on 40 transactions with a total sales volume exceeding $9 million. His performance in real estate has earned him the distinction of being a two-time F.C. Tucker President’s Club member. Additionally, he was honored as the Montgomery County MIBOR Realtor of the Year in 2020 and previously served as the chair of the local MIBOR division.
