The Friends of Linden held its annual movie night at Bulldog Park on Saturday. At least 100 attendees got to watch a free big screen presentation of the 2001 animated comedy Shrek, while also enjoying free hot dogs, popcorn, candy, water and Kona Ice.
The organization would like to thank the sponsors for keeping the events and activities free to the community. They include: Bennett Farms and Acre Innovations, Denhart’s Mercantile, North Cornerstone Church, Engie, Valero Renewables Linden, Tipmont, Cargill, Evelyn’s Attic, Hoosier Heartland State Bank, Lawn Guard, Blankenship Auto Care, Linda Airey, Messer’s Bar and Grill and Logical Collectibles.
The event also was made possible thanks to the volunteers who helped cook and prepare meals; set up banners and signage; as well as the cleaning of the park following the movie.
The Friends of Linden invites everyone to their annual fall festival on Sept. 26 at Bulldog Park. Follow the organization on Facebook, and visit them on the web at friendsoflindeninc.com to stay up-to-date.
