No Longer A Slave Ministries, non-profit agency, has a goal to open a faith-based sober living home in Crawfordsville, and a fundraiser to help reach that $100,000 goal is slated for April 13.
There will be a silent auction, concert and dinner. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. at 711 Curtis St. and bidding starts. A concert by a worship team from Christ 180 Church is planned for 3 p.m. and dinner will be served at 5 p.m. Silent auction bidding ends at 6 p.m. Virtual bidding will be allowed. There also will be a raffle. Credit cards will be accepted.
Bids start as low as $10. Dinner includes a choice of pork or beef, two sides and a drink for $10. A free-will offering will be accepted for the concert.
Various local businesses have already contributed five tickets for a plane tour of Montgomery County offered by Roy from R&R Roadside Repair; three photo shoots by Pressing Pause Photography; and a day at the Crawfordsville Country Club for a party of four with a golf cart for 18 holes
Also included in the silent auction are oil changes from Midas, Surb’s Tire, Neal Tire and Backyard Auto; as well as gift cards and assorted items from In His Time Book Store, A Second City Cafe, NAPA, O’Reilly’s, Advanced Auto, Stevenson’s Ace Hardware, Home Depot and various restaurants. More items will be added ahead of the event.
All donations are tax-deductible. All funds raised will go towards establishing faith-based sober living home in Crawfordsville.
The non-profit group gives thanks to Bishop Steven Lee and church members of One Way Pentecostal Apostolic Church for allowing them to provide resources to those struggling with addiction through the church.
They also thank Pastor Greg Maish and members of Christ 180 Church for joining the cause.
