The Crawfordsville-Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, with sponsor, Tri-County Bank & Trust, announced changes coming to the Chamber Buck$ program.
In the past year, the community gift certificate program has kept over $77,000 within the community. More than 40 local businesses currently participate in the program, and with the update to a digital program, organizers expect to grow the program through the end of 2020 and forward. The new program launched Tuesday.
Digitizing the administration of the program means the added capacity to sell certificates 24/7 online through the Chamber website, ease of tracking and reporting for staff and merchants alike, and a quicker transfer of funds to the business partners in the program.
These changes allow customers to purchase certificates online or in the office, whether purchasing a single $5 certificate or making a bulk order of five hundred $25 certificates. Purchasers will have the ability to send them via email directly to an individual or print them out to hand deliver for a personal touch. Recipients will have the ability to either print the certificate out or keep it on their mobile device. Additionally, the Chamber Buck$ certificates will have a new, more modern look.
“We are confident that these updates will help the Chamber continually grow the program and increase the amount of money that is kept within the greater Crawfordsville area,” said Casie Hagan, Chamber executive director. “We believe the new program will be more convenient and efficient for participating businesses and be a more attractive gift option for consumers who wish to support local businesses.”
