Hoosier Heartland State Bank is pleased to announce its newest Virtual Branch team members.

Melanie Cravens and Kathy Addler have transitioned from the Crawfordsville branches to round out the full-service virtual team; they join account specialist Heather Hites and assistant branch manager Elizabeth Stokes.

Cravens has been an HHSB employee-owner since 2003. She was a CSR on the frontline at Ladoga and Crawfordsville South for 17 years before transitioning to the Virtual Branch earlier this year. As a CSR, she is responsible for processing transactions, opening new accounts, and assisting customers with their banking needs.

“Melanie has been in the Virtual Branch for a short time and is already a valuable part of the team,” said Sandy Webb, area manager at HHSB. “She has great customer service skills and a vast knowledge of customer inquiry information. Her years of experience in the branches has made this a smooth transition for our team and customers.”

Cravens is a life-long resident of Crawfordsville. She and her husband of 37 years, David, have two sons and one granddaughter. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and doing arts and crafts such as making quilts, drawing, and painting.

Addler began her career with HHSB in 2018. She worked as a CSR at Crawfordsville East before being promoted to account specialist in February. As a universal banker in the Virtual Branch, she is responsible for opening accounts, cashing checks, applying for loans, and more.

“Kathy will be a true asset to this team,” Webb said. “She brings excellent customer service skills and experience in account opening procedures, as well as some consumer loan experience. Kathy has worked the frontline in the branches and has knowledge in various customer transactions.”

She and her husband reside in Crawfordsville and have three children and two grandchildren. She enjoys being involved in her church, crocheting and singing.
