Chargers beat Eagles on pitch
The North Montgomery girl’s soccer team picked up a 3-2 win at Faith Christian on Monday.
Nina Gable, Teegan Bacon, and Lydia Dugard each scored goals for the Chargers, while Sidney Campbell chipped in a pair of assists, and Sydnee Turner had eight saves in goal.
“We got down early, and struggled with our spacing on a small field. I was proud at the toughness the girls showed tonight coming back in the 2nd half for the win,” North Montgomery coach Julie Hodges said. “We are really starting to figure out our combinations up top. Everyone is getting involved, and we are seeing the benefits.”

The Crawfordsville girl’s soccer team dropped a match 11-0 to Tri-West on Monday.
Chargers swept by Knights
The North Montgomery volleyball team was swept by Central Catholic 3-0 (25-13, 25-10, 25-13) on Monday. Emily Sennett led the Chargers with five kills, while Mackenzie Shepherd had 11 digs.
Mounties beat
Wildcats
Southmont’s volleyball team traveled to South Vermillion and swept the Wildcats 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-18) on Monday evening.
Lexi Nelson led the Mounties with 23 kills, while Sidney Veatch had 37 assists.
Soccer Sectional
pairings announced
The IHSAA soccer sectional pairings were announced on Sunday evening.
In the Class A girl’s sectional at Southmont, the Mounties will play South Vermillion in game No. 2, and the winner will advance to the championship. In game No. 1 Cascade will play North Putnam, and the winner will play Monrovia.
In the Class 2A girl’s sectional at Crawfordsville, North Montgomery will play Frankfort in game No. 1, while Crawfordsville will play Tri-West in game No. 4 with the winner advancing to the championship. The winner of the North Montgomery and Frankfort game will play the winner of Danville and Greencastle.
In the Class 2A boy’s sectional at Danville, Crawfordsville and Southmont will square off in the first game. The winner will play Greencastle. North Montgomery will play Danville in game No. 3.
All soccer sectionals will start next week with dates and times to be announced.
Tennis Sectional
pairings announced
The boy’s tennis sectional will start on Wednesday with both Crawfordsville and Fountain Central hosting.
At Crawfordsville, the Athenians will battle North Montgomery, and the winner will play the winner of Southmont and Parke Heritage in the championship on Thursday.
At Fountain Central, the Mustangs will battle Seeger on Thursday and with a win will play either Attica, Benton Central or Covington on Friday in the championship.
