Hoosier Heartland State Bank is proud to announce that Zach Hockersmith has been promoted to vice president/controller.

“Zach is a dedicated team member who is always looking at doing what is best for our customers and our team,” said Brad Monts, president and CEO. “As vice president/controller, he will allow us to continue to grow and better serve our community by overseeing our accounting area for the bank. His attention to detail for reporting and compliance will be a great benefit for HHSB.”

As controller, Hockersmith is responsible for overseeing the bank’s financial analysis, as well as their investments and interest rate risk. He graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with degrees in finance and economics and has been an HHSB employee-owner since 2010.

Hockersmith is a member of the Montgomery County Community Foundation Investment Committee and serves as treasurer on the Montgomery County Medical Care Trust board. He is also on the advisory board for the Indiana Bankers Association Future Leadership Division.

He and his wife Casey reside in Crawfordsville with their sons, Hudson and Camden. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, being with family, golfing and working on home projects.
