Hunt elected District 4 Director

David Hunt has been elected as the District 4 Director for the Indiana Funeral Directors Association.

Hunt was born and raised in Crawfordsville. He is a graduate of Vincennes University and Indiana Wesleyan University and is a fourth-generation funeral director. Alongside his brother, David owns and operates Hunt & Son Funeral Home.

David currently serves as Commander of NDMS-DMORT Regions 2 and 5 and has participated in numerous mass-fatality response deployments throughout his career. He also served for many years as both coroner and deputy coroner of Montgomery County.

Former Governor Mitch Daniels appointed Hunt to the Indiana Coroners Training Board. He additionally served 15 years on the board of the Indiana Coroners Association, including a term as president in 2011. His public service has also included membership on the National Disaster Medical System Advisory Committee, service as president of the Montgomery County Council and appointments to the Crawfordsville Board of Aviation Commissioners and the Crawfordsville Fire Department Merit Board.

Outside of his professional and public service responsibilities, he is an avid outdoorsman. Hunt and his wife, Karin, have two children and four grandchildren.
