VEEDERSBURG — The Indiana Democrat Party is sponsoring a town hall meeting 6-7:30 p.m. Monday at the Southeast Fountain Elementary School, 780 US Highway 136, Veedersburg. Those attending from Montgomery County should be aware of a detour on US 136 at Hillsboro, and that Interstate 74 would be alternate route.
The event is free and open to all voters interested in meeting candidates for the General Election in November.
Candidates for US Senate Democrat Tom McDermott and Libertarian James Sceniak are seeking the seat currently held by Senator Todd Young. Ray McCormich candidate for the US House of Representatives in the newly redrawn 8th Congressional District which includes Fountain County is seeking the seat is currently held by Representative Larry Buschon.
Those attending will have the opportunity to submit questions to the candidates.
