James M. “Jim” Rosen, 68, of rural Waynetown passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 28, 2024, in his home.

Jim was born May 5, 1955, at Crawfordsville, son of the late Robert J. Rosen and Louise Wethington Rosen, who survives. He married Margaret “Mag” Feltner on Jan. 14, 1978, at New Ross, and they enjoyed the blizzard of ’78 as a wedding gift.

Jim was a 1973 graduate of North Montgomery High School and has been a self-employed grain and livestock farmer since. He was proud to have his son Clint join him in their farming operation.

Jim was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church and he enjoyed fishing and hunting mushrooms … legend has it, he could find mushrooms others would walk past. Jim loved his family, the farm and bantering with his friends. He was seldom seen without his ever-present smile and upbeat personality.

Surviving, along with his wife Mag and mother Lou, are sons, Clint (Lindsey) Rosen of New Ross and Tyler Rosen of Waynetown; sister Diana (Robert) Hall of Romney; brother Chuck Rosen of Crawfordsville; and grandchildren, Maxwell, Jude, Henry and Isla.

He was preceded in death by father Robert.

Visitation hours are 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31 at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1 in Waynetown Baptist Church, with Pastor Joe Humrichous officiating.

Memorial contributions are preferred to Montgomery County 4-H Foundation.
