Jill Anne LaFollette of Darlington passed away Wednesday morning, April 3, 2024, at St. Vincent’s Hospital. She was 65.
Jill liked to help others, enjoyed hummingbirds and spending time at the lake, where she bought supplies for the family and kept everyone fed. She loved her family, her children and grandchildren. She was the bookkeeper and kept things running at the family business, LaFollette Trucking. She attended Elmwood Church of Christ in Lafayette.
Born Oct. 26, 1958, at Lafayette, she was the daughter of Rex L. Huddleston and Alice Louise High Huddleston. She graduated from McCutcheon High School in 1977. She married David LaFollette on Dec. 9, 1978.
Surviving family includes: husband David LaFollette; two daughters, Carrie (Ryan) Dale and Carin (Cade) Messick; two grandchildren, Colt and Chloe; mother Alice Huddleston; two brothers, Gary Huddleston and Scott Huddleston; sister Tammy Wills; sister-in-law Debra Curl; along with nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by daughter Patricia LaFollette; father Rex Huddleston; and Melvin C. LaFollette.
Services will be held Sunday, April 7 at Burkhart Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at noon and services will begin at 3 p.m., led by Pastor Mike Parks. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Darlington. Visitors please come as you are.
