The JUMP program, which is a mentoring program for kids, had its monthly group event at the AMC Theater in Crawfordsville.
Each month, the program provides a free group activity for mentors and mentees. This helps the mentors so they don’t have to plan or have the expense for one of their times together with their mentee. The movie theater is a great outing and many of the children have never experienced the theater before.
The JUMP program provides youth with positive role models and new experiences. It is a fun way to guide the children and help them with the challenges of growing up to become healthy, productive adults. There is always a need for mentors so anyone who is willing to become a volunteer should contact Jill Hampton at 765-362-0694, ext. 103, or email jill@mcysb.org.
The JUMP program is a part of the Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau. To learn more about this agency, visit www.mcysb.org or visit their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcysb.org.
