At Parke Heritage Middle School, the FFA chapter members held a “Kiss the Goat’’ event for FFA Week. Students voted for staff members to be the lucky ones to kiss “Nacho,” the goat. FFA member Landon Berry raised the most money with $143.17 to be the officer member to kiss the goat. Max Jeffries was second and Kamden Shields came in third. For the staff voting, the “new kid on the block,” Shawn Goldsberry won top honors. Also kissing Nacho were Mrs. Lisa Wrightsman, school resource officer Tyler Milner and Mrs. Kylie Gates. Students were also invited to guess the number of kernels in a glass jar, which held 1,747 pieces of corn. Emmylou Rader was only off by six guessing 1,753. Second place was Kennedy Mitchell and third place was tie between Mikey Clockson and Max Jeffries. Pictured are Kennedy Mitchell and Landon Berry.
