Volunteers from Crawfordsville Kiwanis helped unload the truck at the Nourish program Dec. 11 and helped pack backpacks Dec. 14. They packed 147 backpacks in one hour. The Nourish program helps families with food insecurities in Montgomery County. The food will help feed children while they are out of school. This is organized through the Youth Service Bureau and is in partnership with many churches, businesses and other organizations. Unloading the Nourish truck were Don Thompson, Mac Petty, Gary Behling, Jim McCampbell and Rumiko Nishina. Packing backpacks were Gary Behling, Don Thompson, Mark Allen, Rumiko Nishina and Jim McCampbell.
