Ladoga Tri Kappa

Sigma Chapter of Tri Kappa met in September at the Ladoga Christian Church. New officers recently installed were: Judy Goshorn, president; Sarah Fadil, vice president; Dixie Ruggles, recording secretary; Nedra Richardson, treasurer; and Eleanor Brewer, corresponding secretary. Four officers discussed the recent regional training session they had attended in Fishers. Sigma was recognized for inducting two new members during the last biennium.

Ideas for the next biennium included recruiting and maintaining members, improving chapter awareness in the community by using the newspaper and Ladoga Chatter, and planning activities for members.

Scholarship winners awarded by the chapter were Samantha Moody, Elle Gray and Cloe Lynn.

The group discussed the profit made from the ice cream sale at the Ladoga Fish Fry and reported that 10 units of blood had been donated to Versity Blood Center.

Vice President Sarah Fadil invited members to attend the musical, “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” that she is directing Nov. 17-19 at Southmont High School.

December 16 is Founders’ Day for the chapter so special activities will be planned for the December meeting.

The November meeting will be Nov. 14 instead of Nov. 21. The group plans to eat together and then go to Christ Lutheran Church to make pies for Pam’s Promise.
