Letter: It takes all of us to make a difference

Posted

Our world and lives are self complicated enough. We can do better. Let’s get to the bottom line. One person of leadership on earth can not change the impact we have on others on a daily basis. But conversely, the same chosen person can directly impact the attitude and positivity and negativity to their environment that we work and live in. It begins at the national level and onto to our personal doorsteps. There have been loose terms of “transparency” and “your input is important” as a kick the can approach recently at the local level that avoids the critical issues at hand in many ways on a daily basis. That is the crux of change that takes all of us to make a difference. We can not let those we serve as a whole be ignored.

Let’s reflect on what is the best for all in our community. We have tremendous leaders both elected and actually non-elected that do not get the genuine recognition they deserve. Elected officials are important to the integrity of the representation of the entire community. This is an atta-community praise to all who step up to the challenge in the political environment. We need more involved in the community to both represent and support our community initiatives. But more importantly, it starts at home: where we work, live and raise our families.

I do not look at this as a mass transformation of change. We simply need to see through the simple complications that block us from doing better for our community. I remind folks to do their homework of the past, understand their presence and prepare for what might be around the corner. Isn’t that what life is really all about?
