Lizbeth Sue Farrar, 85, passed away Nov. 26, 2023, at Haven Homes Senior Health & Living in Maple Plain, Minnesota, due to complications of a heart condition. 

She was born July 27, 1938, at Linton, Indiana, to Mervin Leonard and Sarah Marjorie (nee Mitchell) Hancock.

She was the eldest of five children and graduated in 1956 from Crawfordsville High School.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution for 19 years, Captain John Holmes Chapter in Minnesota and St. Andrew Bay Chapter in Florida. She loved traveling, quilting and reading mysteries.

She was preceded in death by husband William “Bill” Robert Farrar; her parents; grandson Benjamin Farrar; brothers-in-law, Jay Farrar and James Mallory; and nephew Damon Hancock.

She is survived by sons, William “Bill” and Eric (Sharon); daughter Marci Farrar; beloved granddaughters, Kirsten (Cesar) Farrar-Barragan and Kelly Farrar; great-grandchildren, Darla and Devin Barrigan; brothers, David (Sande) Hancock of Evansville and Steve (Myra) Hancock of Wichita, Kansas; sisters, Marilnn (John) Rondot of Edinburgh and Linda Mallory of Estero, Florida; sister-in-law Bev Federau of East Lansing, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews.

Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in the summer of 2024.
