McCartney wins, Allen 2nd at BC Invite on Saturday
North Montgomery senior Elijah McCartney ran to a win in the boys’ race with a personal best time of 17:13, while Southmont junior Faith Allen was second in the girls’ race.
Paul Lueking was 13th in the boys’ race for North Montgomery, Tim Lueking 20th, Nolan Yarger 28th, and Jack Rogers 52nd as the Chargers placed third.
For the girls, Claire Bonwell placed 15th in 22:30. Payton Kunz was 50th, and Nichole Hoffman 56th.
On the boys’ side, Southmont’s Mason Cass placed third, while Aaron Evans was 12th, Hunter Alesi 24th, Brett Keller 49th, and Clayton Allen 55th.
For the girls, Heaven Smith was 33rd, Grace Simpson was 45th, Kylee Reeves 47th, and Tomoko Greiner 48th.
