Maple Grove Extension Homemakers

Posted

The Maple Grove Homemakers met at noon Dec. 18, 2023, at the 4-H Exhibit Hall with 10 members and three guests present. The meeting was opened by President Linda Miller and a prayer by Eileen Matricia.

Minnie Howard and Matricia were the hostesses for the meeting. The tables were decorated with Christmas decorations and helped to put us all in a festive mood and ready for a fun packed day. A potluck meal was enjoyed with plenty of good things to please the taste buds.

We had a short meeting with Judy McBride reporting on the Christmas gift cards that were given to Sommers Elementary School families. She also reported that she had made 15 Christmas stockings and delivered them to the Blue Star Moms organization in Lafayette. The stockings were to be filled with goodies and then delivered to veterans.

After our meal we enjoyed an afternoon of Christmas Bingo. Our Bingo was called by Jeff Vice and we appreciated him agreeing to help us out again this year. There were a lot of Bingo prizes and a lot of happy faces and excitement with the gifts.

The meeting was ended by Miller announcing that the next club meeting will be March 18. Everyone was given a Merry Christmas wish and a very Happy New Year.
