Our meeting was held at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Waynetown Baptist Church. The meeting was opened by Judy McBride and she welcomed everyone. Her words of wisdom were on “Doing”and we sometimes think we have too much to do, but it does keep us busy. We had the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag, Christian Flag, IEHA Mission Statement.

Roll call was answered with “What do you like best about fall?” We had eight members responding. McBride welcomed our new member, Jan Barnes. The secretary report was read by Rita Kirkpatrick and approved. The treasurer report was given by Sandra Lightle. The only birthday we could celebrate was for Christopher Columbus.

New Business: We talked about the district meeting that was held in Lafayette and it was a good time and visited with sisters we had not seen since the last district meeting. The speakers were informative concerning the upcoming year. International Night was a big success. Lennon Woods was our speaker and she told us about her trip to France during the summer. We had a nice meal. Thank you to all the ladies who had a part in decorating and planning the evening.
