Margaret Ann (Crowder) Martz, 84, of Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at home surrounded by her sons.
She was born March 13, 1939, at Rockville, to the late Eston Ray and Velma “Dorine” (Newnum) Crowder.
Margaret graduated from Marshall High School in 1957. She married the love of her life, John Phillip Martz, on April 4, 1958. He preceded her in death March 27, 2020. She worked at RR Donnelley in her early years and spent 14 years at Coast to Coast. Her favorite job of all was being a homemaker and raising her children.
Margret enjoyed going to church, reading the Bible, canning, freezing and gardening. She was member of Youngs Chapel Christian Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her dog, Emma. Margret enjoyed spending time with her husband doing DIY projects.
Margaret is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Lori Rooze) Martz and Phillip Martz; three grandchildren, Shaun Martz, Chelsea (James) Logan and Halley Martz; four great-grandchildren, Presley, Liam, James and Cassidy; four sisters; and a special cousin, Glenda Walther.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John; three brothers; and one sister.
Cremation was chosen with a private family burial at Roachdale Cemetery. Sanders Priebe Funeral care is entrusted with care.
