Martha Jane Tillotson Tolliver Tackett, 88, of Crawfordsville passed away Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, at her daughter’s home.
She was born July 8, 1935, at Danville, Illinois, daughter of Jesse Warren Tillotson Jr. and Mary Jane (Bowles) Tillotson, formerly of Russellville. She first married Leonard Burnam Tolliver and later Wilbur Tackett. Both husbands, her parents and sister Linda Davies preceded her in death.
She was a member the Order of Easter Star #247 and Veterans of Foreign Wars #3284, both of Roachdale, as well as American Legion Post #72 in Crawfordsville. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, providing each of us with afghans through the years.
Martha is survived by daughters, Terri (Stan) Lawson, Chris (John) Irvin and Jessi (Tony) Ragsdale; grandchildren, Stanette Balser, Sean (Allison) Haskett, Brea Brock, Brett (Jason) Anderson, Scott (Kelly) Ragsdale, Patrick (Taryn) Ragsdale and Shonda Lawson; great-grandchildren, Tyler (Karly), Meghan, Darek, Cameron, Keaton, Austin, Carter, Riley, Ella, Zachary, Michayla, Kalishia, Logan, Dylan, Kamryn, Reid and Luke; great-great-grandchildren, Sophia, Luke, Mason and Gunner.
A private family service in Oak Hill North Cemetery will be held Thursday. All arrangements are entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County, 1104 Big Four Arch Road, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
