Mayor presents funds to Boys & Girls Club of Montgomery County

Posted

Mayor Todd Barton visited the Boys & Girls Club of Montgomery County on Wednesday to officially present a check for $38,859.95, representing funds raised through the 2026 Mayor’s Ball held in May.

Boys & Girls Club of Montgomery County CEO Gina Haile welcomed Barton and introduced him to club members, asking the kids if they knew what a mayor does. Their answers ranged from “he runs the city” to the more personal “he has a wife” and “he looks like my papa,” providing a fun and memorable start to the presentation.

Barton has long supported the mission of the Boys & Girls Club and its commitment to providing local youth with a safe, positive environment and opportunities to learn, grow and thrive.

“I believe strongly in the mission of the Boys & Girls Club and the impact they have on the young people in our community,” Barton said. “I’m excited to see this money put to good use supporting the kids and the programs offered at the club.”

The $38,859.95 raised through the Mayor’s Ball will support the Boys & Girls Club of Montgomery County and its programming for local youth.

The City of Crawfordsville thanks everyone who attended, sponsored, donated and contributed to making the 2026 Mayor’s Ball a success.
