Meals on Wheels received another shipment of crocheted blankets from Warm up America, a national nonprofit that since 1991 has provided knitted and crocheted blankets and other items to people. More than 30,000 volunteers have donated over 1 million items. Its headquarters are in Carrollton, Texas.

Sondra S. Lyons, a local resident, offered her gratitude to Warm up America and all those involved in the making of a pink afghan that was gifted to her through Meals on Wheels.
“Thank you for your nimble fingers, that twinkle in your eyes and the largest forgiving hearts. Thank you for giving your time, money and energy. Also, thanks to Meals on Wheels for making us delicious meals,” she said.
