Time is running out to register for the May 5 Mental Health First Aid workshop open to any parent, teacher, provider, first responder or interested individual.
The program focuses on identifying mental health challenges in youth and providing approaches to assist the young person. The program will be held at Hoosier Heartland State Bank’s Success Center, 1623 U.S. 231, Crawfordsville. The workshop is offered by United Way partner agency Volunteers for Mental Health in Montgomery County in conjunction with Purdue University.
Registration closes Thursday. The registration fee of $20 includes the training, all materials, snacks and lunch. To access the registration portal, visit https://cvent.me/zkAaNw. A shortcut on the VMHMC website (vmhmc.org) also may be used. Some scholarships are available.
