Michael Horlacher, 68, of Thorntown passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Mike was born March 22, 1952, at Lebanon, son of Emma Jean Horlacher and the late Lloyd Horlacher. He married Jo Lynn Jones on April 8, 1973. She survives.
Mike was a 1970 graduate of Thorntown High School. He worked as a collator operator at Relizon, formerly known as Shumates, for over 30 years and currently was employed at Hachette Group since 2008.
Mike enjoyed fishing, golfing, doing yard work and watching IU basketball, the Colts and the Pacers. He was a member of Pleasant View Church.
In addition to his wife, Jo Lynn, and mother, Emma Jean, he is survived by three children, Jason (Belle) Horlacher of Pikeville, North Carolina, and John (Lisa) Horlacher and Jeff (Kate) Horlacher, both of Crawfordsville; grandchildren, Samantha, JT (fiancé Madi), AJ, Ray, Aspen, Eli and Luke; brothers, Mark (Diane) Horlacher and Ray (Norma) Horlacher, both of Thorntown; sister Michelle Horlacher of Lebanon; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Family and friends will gather Saturday, Jan. 16 for visitation from noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Pleasant View Church, 5295 W. State Road 32, Lebanon. The family requests that visitors follow the CDC guidelines for social distancing and wearing masks. Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
