Michael ‘Mike’ L. Hall

Michael “Mike” Lee Hall, 75, of Hillsboro and who had been residing in Carmel Health & Living Communities in Carmel, passed away at 12:58 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, in the Community Hospital North, Indianapolis.

Mike was born June 5, 1948, at Crawfordsville. He was the son of the late Harold Eugene and Pear Eldarene (Cooper) Hall.

He was a life resident of Hillsboro, graduating from Fountain Central High School in 1967. Following graduation from high school, Mike enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam War. At the time of his honorable discharge he had attained the rank of Fireman Apprentice. After the service he returned home to work locally in Hillsboro.

Mike was a long time member of the Hillsboro Christian Church. He was a big sports fan, where he enjoyed watching all types of sports on TV, but was a die-hard IU basketball fan. He also enjoyed detailing autos for local friends and community people.

Mike leaves behind his two brothers, Alan E. (Margie) Hall, Veedersburg, and Brian C. Hall, Enid, Oklahoma. 

Besides his parents, Mike was preceded in death by a brother and his wife, Larry and Becky Hall, and sister-in-law Carole Hall.

As per Mike’s request, cremation services were accorded him with a military gravesite service to be  held at a later date in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro.
