Runners and walkers will step off April 14 for the second annual Global Ministries Mission Dash 5K sponsored by First Christian Church Crawfordsville (Disciples of Christ).
The race begins at 8 a.m. from the church, 211 S. Walnut St., and heads through parts of the city’s west side neighborhoods to Wabash College and back.
Global Ministries, a partnership of the Disciples of Christ and the United Church of Christ, supports more than 200 churches, nonprofits and nondenominational groups on projects expanding access to education, health care, clean water and HIV and AIDS care in nearly 90 countries.
Last year’s event raised about $1,000 for the organization.
Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers and breakfast will be served at the church following the race.
