Through the years there have been a few student romances that began at Crawfordsville Middle School but only one romance of two middle school teachers that has lasted 45 years.
In July of 1980, Brad Mullendore helped the assistant principal assemble Crawfordsville Middle School’s first computer when Sue Deur, a newly hired teacher, came in to pick up her classroom key. The assistant principal, Don Fine, introduced the two teachers. Sue must have made a good impression because Brad was at her apartment door to help her move that same afternoon.
They were married June 6, 1981, at Crawfordsville’s First United Methodist Church. They are the proud parents of Amber (Luke) Miklos and Nathan Mullendore as well as loving grandparents to Liana, Isaac, Ivan and Azalea Miklos.
