Narsie Lee Abney, 82, of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024, at Lafayette.
She was born April 9, 1941, at McClelland, Arkansas, to the late Clarence Abney Sr. and Minnie Taylor Abney.
Narsie worked for VanHeusen in their shirt factory and had previously worked for Land O’Frost.
She was a member of First Assembly in Crawfordsville. Narsie enjoyed embroidery, reading, and word search puzzles. She loved to cook and share with her neighbors — they will miss her cooking.
Surviving are sister Joyce Buffington of Sneedville, Tennessee; sister-in-law Anita Abney of Lafayette; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Norma Halford, Clarence Abney Jr., Grace Cox, Katie Cox, Martha Harris, Ray Abney and Diann Miller.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10 at Crawfordsville First Assembly, 2070 Lebanon Road. Burial will be in Velvet Ridge Cemetery, Arkansas.
