Lynne Newlin, quality assurance support 2 in the CQM Department at Lakeside Book Company, will celebrate her 40th anniversary on Oct. 3.
Newlin was originally hired as a department secretary and was promoted to the cost department. Later, she transferred to materials testing, where she has spent most of her career working closely with paper suppliers.
Newlin has two sons, Matt and Mitch, both of Crawfordsville, and two granddaughters, Addy, 11, and Winter, 3.
She has several family members who have retired or are currently working at Lakeside Book Company, Carol Foos, Ed Hintz, Larry Pettit and Paul Hintz. Her grandfather, Byron McBride, retired as a bindery supervisor from RR Donnelley in Chicago in 1963.
Newlin has been a volunteer with Franciscan Hospice Care in Lafayette now for 13 years. She has traveled to many countries, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and is a member of Rock Point Church in Crawfordsville.
