Non-profit plans upcoming events

At Dusk-to-Dawn Bereavement Services, we are all about working toward improving lives for a better community. We have a couple of special events planned for June and are encouraging your support.

We are hosting a community blood drive 4:30-8 p.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church, 300 W. South Blvd., Crawfordsville. Did you know that a single unit of donated blood can save up to three lives? Without the vital lifesaving gift blood, more than 4.5 million patients would die each year in the U.S. and Canada.

If you know someone with cancer, someone who is pregnant or someone who has sickle cell disease, then you know someone who may need blood. Don’t wait for an emergency to donate. There is no substitute for the lifesaving gift of blood. It is precious, it is perishable, and the need for it never ends. Schedule your blood donation by visiting our website at dusk-to-dawn.org to scan the QR code or visit versiti.org/IN and search sponsor code SPONINQ278.

Then you can treat yourself to some of the area’s finest Mexican cuisine. On June 20 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Little Mexico, 211 E. Main St., is hosting a benefit for Dusk to Dawn Bereavement Services. A percentage of the day’s proceeds will be donated to help provide free access to counseling for grief and loss. Dine in or carry out to help those suffering losses among us. Invite your family and friends and join us for great food, fun and a worthwhile cause.

Together we can make a difference in the life of another.
