North Montgomery’s School Board met Monday and continued to prepare for the upcoming school year. Classes begin Aug. 4.
The board approved a memorandum of understanding agreement with Pleasant Hill and Lester B. Sommer elementary schools with Indiana Full Spectrum Therapies.
A precalculus curriculum quote from Cengage in the amount of $4,014 was approved.
A contract with Pepsi also was approved.
Repairs to the swimming pool in the amount of $55,240 was approved as was an additional cost for concrete work at Pleasant Hill by Grote Construction in the amount of $7,775.
In personnel matters, the board accepted the resignation of Industrial Technology Teacher Robert Clemence effective May 22 and Lester B. Sommer Elementary teacher Dawne Peterson.
Teachers transferring to Lester B. Sommer Elementary are Nicole Stigall, Tammy Murphy and Karley McCoy.
Doug Horton was hired as the Certified Athletic Trainer. Horton has spent many years in the same capacity at Crawfordsville High School.
The board approved fall coaching positions. Varsity coaches this season are Julie Hodges, girls soccer; Jordan Foust, volleyball; Tim Lueking, cross country; Josh Thompson, football; Chris Cash, tennis; and Bobby Cunningham, boys soccer.
Head coaches approved at the middle school are Bryson Feese, girls soccer; Jacob Remember, boys soccer; Alvin Enlow, boys tennis; Alex Asbury, girls golf; Donavan Haworth and Trizton Carson, football; and Gracie Chapman, volleyball.
