Organizers prepare for Community Christmas Dinner

Posted

The annual Community Christmas Dinner has a new host and a new location.

A traditional holiday meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Christmas Day at the Masonic Cornerstone Events Center, 221 S. Washington St.

This year’s dinner will be hosted by Feed the Fam members. Isaac Weliver, owner and chef at Francis Mount, took over as the event organizer last year. His Feed the Fam crew regularly volunteer in the community.

This year’s annual dinner will be held at the Masonic Cornerstone, which is decorated with festive holiday trees and lights.

A full dinner menu is planned for all to come and enjoy with friends, family and other community guests. Meals also can be delivered within Montgomery County.

Organizers ask that those interested in attending the dinner or who are in need of meal delivery to call 765-376-1002 with the size of your party or with the address for delivery. Walk-ins will be welcome.

None of this would be possible without the generosity of local businesses and community members.  Lithonia Lighting has donated 60 turkeys that will be prepared in the ovens at Arni’s Pizza. Other businesses are asked to donate funds for everything that has already been purchased. Contact Michael Patton at 765-363-1806 to make a donation.
