Overfelt to retire from Crawford Industries

Posted

Lee Overfelt will retire June 3 from Crawford Industries/Spartech after more than 48 years of service.

Overfelt was hired Oct. 15, 1973, to work in the finishing department as a material handler. He gradually worked his way into the position of extrusion utility (hopper jockey) in late 1973 and remain in that role until June of 1974. Overfelt was then promoted to extruder operator in 1974.  In 1976, he moved into data processing as a programmer for a little more than three years. He returned to the extrusion department in 1979 and continues as an operator today. His experience with the company and with extrusion will be missed. He will not easily be replaced.

Overfelt and his wife Melody live in Crawfordsville. They have two children, Jamie and Ryan Overfelt. He is a member of the Fremont Street Baptist Church. He hopes to enjoy retirement by spending extra time with his family.
